This page explains which cookies BuildQR sets on your device, what they are for and how to manage them. We favour a minimal approach: today, BuildQR uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to function.
A cookie is a small text file placed in your browser when you visit a site. Among other things, it keeps you signed in, remembers your preferences (language, currency) and secures your session. A cookie cannot run a program or transmit a virus.
Essential for the service to function. They cannot be disabled and do not require consent.

BuildQR uses no advertising cookies, nor any third-party tracking tool (targeted advertising, resale of data). We do not set cookies for behavioural marketing purposes.
On our free tools (site document generators and calculators), we measure how the tool is used in order to improve it. This measurement uses no cookies: it relies on a random identifier stored in the tab's memory (sessionStorage), erased as soon as you close the tab. It therefore cannot be used to recognise you from one visit to the next, or to follow you on other sites.
The PDF is built in your browser: the content of these forms only reaches us if you choose to share it with us. The details of what is measured, and of that voluntary sharing, are set out in section 2.4 of our privacy policy.
We count visits to our public pages with Vercel Web Analytics, our hosting provider's measurement tool. It sets no cookies: each visit is tied to a hash calculated from the request, discarded after 24 hours. There is therefore no identifier that would allow you to be recognised from one day to the next, or followed on other sites.
We derive only aggregated statistics from it: page viewed, the site you came from, country, device type. The scan pages of a QR code are excluded: their address contains the access key to the document and is not transmitted to anyone.
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under the regulations (GDPR and the recommendations of the CNIL, the French data protection authority). That is why BuildQR does not display a consent banner today: we set no cookies that are subject to consent. Should we introduce audience measurement or marketing cookies, we would put in place a mechanism for collecting your consent and would update this page.
You can at any time delete the cookies already stored and configure your browser to block them. The procedure depends on your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge…), generally in the “Privacy” or “Security” settings.
⚠️ Blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents the service from working properly (in particular, you will no longer be able to stay signed in to your account).
